Why are the JDataStore files missing after installing JBuilder 5 Professional?

The installation of JBuilder 5 Professional and JDataStore on Windows 98 seemed to complete successfully, but there does not appear to be any files associated with JDataStore actually installed. How may I get JDataStore to install?

Answer:

A few customers have reported that JDataStore does not seem to install its components successfully when completing the Full Install option. In this case, try running the manual install for JDataStore. It may be found in the following location on the CD:

CDROM:\Windows\jds_install.exe

JDataStore should install successfully. If it still fails, however, you might try copying the JDataStore installation from the CD to a temporary location on your hard drive and then relaunch the installation from that location.
