What are the InterBase SMP 2009 Server
Simultaneous User License options?
InterBase SMP 2009 Server Edition is sold in configurations
of 1, 5, 10, 25, 50 or Unlimited simultaneous users. Additional
Simultaneous User licenses can be purchased to increase the
number of users who can simultaneously access the InterBase SMP Server.
Can InterBase SMP 2009 Server Edition
Simultaneous User Licenses be combined?
InterBase SMP Server Edition is available in 1, 5, 10, 25,
50 and Unlimited simultaneous users options. These versions include one license
for the InterBase SMP Server, and the corresponding amount of simultaneous user
licenses. Additional simultaneous users can only be added by purchasing the
number of desired “1 Additional Simultaneous User License” to meet
your needs. Note that purchasing a 5-User and a 10-User InterBase SMP Server
product will not allow 15 simultaneous users to access the InterBase SMP
Server. To add additional simultaneous users, you must purchase the appropriate
amount of “1 Additional Simultaneous User License” to meet your

Does InterBase SMP 2009 support
multi-processor and multi-core deployment environments?
InterBase SMP 2009 is designed for SMP and leverages
multi-processor deployment on all supported platforms. The standard InterBase SMP
2009 Server license includes built-in support for Dual / Quad-core and
additional CPUs – no additional licensing is required (up to 8 CPU /
Cores on a single machine). Support for more than 8 CPU / Cores on a single
machine require the purchase of the InterBase Additional CPUs License which
increases the CPUs / Cores supported on a single machine to a total of 32.
