The BDE Merge Module is missing from BDS 2006

Answer

BDE Merge Module is not provided with BDS, however there is a workaound for this:

If you have Delphi 7 available copy BDE_ENT.Msm from

C:\Program Files\Borland\Delphi7\MergeModules\
to
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Merge Modules\

and then launch InstallShield.

If you don't�have Delphi 7 try downloading the appropriate installer from: http://info.borland.com/devsupport/bde/bdeupdate.html

Extract the setup files to disk by typing

bdemm52ent.exe -a

at the command prompt

You will be prompted for a network drive to extract the files but this can be substituted for a local drive letter. Also the -a option stops the installer testing for a valid version of Delphi, so will work with BDS 2006.
