  • Product Version: 6.0
  • Product Component: Provider - Microsoft JET OLEDB 4.0
  • Platform/OS Version: Windows

Description:

Is it possible to connect to an MS Access database remotely without using the ODBC?

If yes, is there a way to access the data file by not mapping drive in Windows explorer. That is, not to map the drive and still be able to connect.

Instead of the following connection string,
Connection String string = Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=C:\My Folder\test.mdb"

expected something like,
Connection String string = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=<IP_Address>\My Folder\test.mdb"
