Details

To uninstall:

  • On Windows
    1. Run the "Lincensing Information" shortcut in your JBuilder program group (or run "jbuilder.exe -license") and delete your serial number from the list.
    2. Run the "Uninstall Borland JBuilder 2005" shortcut in your start menu.
    3. Delete the JBuilder directory (e.g. "C:\JBuilder2005").
    4. Delete the ".jbuilder2005", ".bmc60", ".connections", ".primetime2005", ".qualitycentral", ".dbpilot", and ".jdatastore6" directories. They will be in your user home directory on Windows NT, 2000, and XP(e.g. "C:\WINNT\profiles\johndoe\.jbuilder2005" or "C:\Documents and Settings\johndoe\.jbuilder2005).
    5. Delete any registration activation files (e.g. "reg157.txt") found in your user home directory.
    6. Delete the Registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Borland\JBuilder\2005"
    7. If you have not installed any other Java 2 products since installing JBuilder, you may want to delete the registry keys:
      • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Development Kit\1.4 -and- 1.4.2_04
      • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment\1.4 -and- 1.4.2_04
This step should not be necessary however.
    8. Remove the JBuilder file associations from Windows Explorer (steps vary by operating system but they will be listed in the "File Types" section).
  • On Solaris and Linux
    1. Run the "Uninstall<product>" script in the "Uninstall<product>" directory (e.g. "/usr/local/Jbuilder2005/UninstallEnterprise/UninstallEnterprise").
    2. Delete the JBuilder directory (e.g. "/usr/local/JBuilder2005").
    3. Delete the ".jbuilder2005", ".bmc60", ".connections", ".primetime2005", ".qualitycentral", ".dbpilot", and ".jdatastore6" directories. They will be in your user home directory (e.g. "/home/johndoe/.jbuilder2005").
    4. Delete any registration activation files (e.g. "reg157.txt") found in your user home directory.
